Week 2, Term 1, 2019

Hi everyone

We hope your child is happy and that they enjoyed their first week of school.

This week we are talking about our families.  If you have a family photo could you please send it along to school or email it to suewright@stgerards.school.nz

Some important dates to remember are:
12 Feb Meet the Teacher Evening
19 February School Swimming
24  February School Mass and picnic
28 February School Swimming Sports 9.00am-12.00am
21 March School triathlon 12.00 - 2,30pm

Please come along to the Meet the Teacher evening if you can, as the classroom routines and homework expectations will be outlined. The time for Room 7 is 5.00-5.15. Children generally just play outside during this short meeting.  This is followed by a bring-your-own picnic tea at 5.30. (Some people just bring a packed tea for their family, others bring takeaways, although I realise you would have to go away after the meeting to get these.) This is followed at 6.00 by the BOT chairperson, Ellen Middendorf, addressing the parents. If you just wish to come for the Room 7 Meet the Teacher, and then take your little ones home for tea, then this is fine too.
