Hi Everyone

We started the week with Kapahaka this morning.

Wednesday morning the children have jewellery making with Mrs Chamberlain.

And FRIDAY is PET DAY!!!!! Look back at last weeks post for details.

Great to hear a few children practising their Eisteddfod songs today, ready for week 8.

We have a couple of songs to learn for the end of year assembly. These are pasted into the Poetry books and will come home each night to learn please.

Have a great week.

Term 4 Week 5

Hi Everyone

On Wednesday we have soccer coaching in the morning and Mrs Chamberlain taking jewellery making in the afternoon.

Also please remember to collect any last few pieces of art from the Art Auction. Chrissy is collecting the money at the office.

It is only three weeks until our last Eisteddfod for the year and for this term it is a song.
The children will be singing a song to the class in Week 8, so now is a good time to start practising.  The criteria used for selecting those to perform at the Eisteddfod Assembly will be;

  • knowing the song by heart
  • tunefulness
  • volume
  • suitability of song choice.
Have a great week
Thanks

Term 3 Week 10

Whats on this week??

Monday - Kapahaka and Athletics
Tuesday - Eisteddfod Speeches in class. My apologies for the late notice
WALTs:
·      Write a speech using the hamburger structure
·      Speak clearly so that the audience can hear all that is said
·      Use expression in our voice
·      Look at our audience
The hamburger has:
1.     An exciting first sentence to grab the audience’s attention (the top of the hamburger).
2.    Some interesting information in the middle (the hamburger fillings).

3.    A sentence to end the speech – could be an interesting thought or a statement about what has been talked about (the bottom part of the bun – means that the filling doesn’t fall out).

Wednesday - Athletics and WOW night,  picnic tea starts 5pm
Thursday - Maori Concert in the Church
Friday - Eisteddfod School Assembly - LAST DAY OF TERM
