Week one, Term 2

Welcome back everyone - we hope you had a happy, relaxing holiday and that the children are refreshed and ready to learn!

We are very lucky to have netball coaching, provided by Kelly Sports, for the whole school on Monday and Wednesday of the first two weeks.

Room 7 also has swimming for the next five weeks, on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons, beginning this Tuesday the 1 May.  Please remember to send togs, towel and goggles to school on these days.  We will be catching the bus to and from the pool.

Children are welcome to wear their sports uniform to school from Monday - Thursday for the next two weeks.  Also suitable shoes eg. running shoes, will need to be worn for netball on Monday and Wednesday.

Please continue to send along boxes, containers, pottles etc for construction. Also we are having a loose parts container and require things such as washed milk and juice lids, bottletops, container lids, toothpaste lids etc

NZ ski passes

NZSKI are offering Local School Passes this year for the same low price as last year.  $100 for primary aged children (5 years and under are just $20) $165 for secondary school aged children. Passes will be available from the Queenstown Snow Centre from 8th May, and  there is no deadline for purchase.
(Please let Chrissy know if you wish to purchase this as she has to forward your name to the snow centre to verify you are at a Central Otago school. She will need these names before the 8th May.)

Have a great week,

Sue and Kate

Week 10, Term 1 2018

Hi everyone,

We hope you all had a wonderful Easter break and enjoyed the beautiful weather!

I am excited about coming back to school and am finally feeling like myself again.  A big thank you to Kate and Robyn for covering for me for the past weeks.  It was a big relief to me to know that the children had two such competent teachers and also had consistency.  It was lovely to get a big card and letters from the children. (Sue)

Next Monday or Tuesday the children will be saying a short prayer to the class for our Eisteddfod.  There is a new Eisteddfod cup for Y1/2 this year which will be presented at the end of the year. For the prayer, points will be given for clarity of speech, volume, choice of prayer, and it helps if children know their prayer off by heart.  If you cannot find a prayer, let us know as we will have some photocopied that the children can choose.

Have a great week,

Sue and Kate
