Hi Everybody
Hope you have all had a great holiday and the children are looking forward to starting the new year!!
I am looking forward to getting to know you all and we welcome 2 new students to Room 7 - Johnny Cooney and Louisa Marsden.
We begin the day with School Prayers in the Church. You are all most welcome to join us at 9am.
I see most of you have collected your stationery boxes from the office. I have taken out the pencils, glue sticks etc that we share and you are welcome to cover and name the books.
A few dates to note:-
Monday 6 Feb is Waitangi Day holiday.
Swimming - Tuesday 7th, 14th, 21st and
Thursday 9th, 16th, 23rd February
Our lesson will be 1.00-1.30pm each day and everybody is expected to swim. If not, please send me a note. I would appreciate any help with dressing before and/or after the lesson. These lessons are to prepare the children for the School Swimming Sports on Tuesday 28 February.
Meet the Teacher Evening - Wednesday 8 Feb. Family BBQ 5.30-6.00. (please bring your own takeaways or picnic tea) followed by a quick introduction in Room 5, then off to individual classrooms. More information to follow.
Our first School Mass is on Sunday 19 February.
Our first School/Parish Mass will be on Wednesday 15 February at 9am, lead by Room 4. This year there will be a whole school/parish mass every Wednesday fortnight at 9am, lead by a different class. It is our turn Week 11, just before Easter.
Otago Anniversary Day Monday 20 March, week 8.
Teacher Only Day - school closed, Friday 7th April, week 10.
Every Sunday night I will update the blog with news for the week.
