Well we only have two short weeks to go until Easter and the school holidays.
Today all children have number charts pasted into their Homework books. Please have a look at the notes I have added and do some counting every night.
Well done to those children who have reached 25 Reading Nights, as recorded in their yellow reading log. Also to those children who are working hard on their basic sight words. Many of you have completed these and will be ready for Spelling next term.
Week 10
Eisteddfod Assembly - This term each child is asked to recite a prayer. They need to learn it off by heart and say it clearly and confidently. Every child is expected to do this and will recite their pray to the class next Monday 10th. We will select those for the final presentation in the hall on the last day of term.
Next Friday and Saturday the staff have 2 teacher only days, so there will be no school for all children on Friday 7 April.
Week 11
Monday - children recite their Eisteddfod Prayer
Tuesday and Wednesday after school -Goal Setting Interviews, for child, parent and teacher. Please have a talk with your child about a realistic short term and/or long term goal that they may like to set for themselves.
We will follow the timetable that was booked earlier, but if that time no longer suits you please let me know. Also if you wish to book a time please email me at nerolilaidlaw@stgerards.school.nz

Wednesday 9.00am School / Parish Easter Mass. We are planning the Mass so some children will either have a reading, Prayer of the Faithful or will take up offeratory. Children will be given their readings next week so they have time to prepare. I find that the children often speak more fluently and confidently when they know it off by heart and are not distracted with a piece of paper.
We are also asking that each family provide 1 item for the Food Bank please. Don't forget to invite Nana and Grandad !
Thursday afternoon 1.30pm Eisteddfod Assembly Finals in the school hall - A Prayer
Happy Easter
